In January 2024, a Fact Sheet summarizing the proposed updates to the CEQA Thresholds related to Construction Noise and Vibration was made available at this LINK.
An additional Fact Sheet with general information and responses to public comments is now available at this link. This summary consolidates concerns and suggestions from various stakeholders, including community members, organizations, and experts, alongside the Department's responses. The purpose of this document is to address the key questions raised during the public comment period, explain the rationale behind the proposed updates, and highlight the measures taken to ensure that the thresholds are both protective and practical.
