NEWS & NOTES: JOINT STATEMENT FROM:

RICK COMMONS, HARVARD-WESTLAKE SCHOOL'S PRESIDENT

SAVE LA RIVER OPEN SPACE

AND STUDIO CITY RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION

We are pleased to share that an amicable resolution has been

reached to end all remaining litigation regarding the

construction of the Harvard-Westlake River Park campus in

Studio City.

This outcome followed thoughtful leadership from all three

organizations and a genuine desire to serve the greater good

of Studio City District Office at (818) 558-3043 Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5

In doing so, Harvard-Westlake has reaffirmed its commitment to work in collaboration with Save LA River Open Space (SLAROS) and the Studio City Residents Association (SCRA) to ensure public access to the facilities at River Park and maintain an open dialogue if

concerns arise once operation of River Park commences.

Additionally, SLAROS and SCRA will have the opportunity to confirm the safety of the artificial turf, consistent with Harvard-Westlake's commitments, and will collaborate with Harvard-Westlake on additional community benefits and beautification projects.

We look forward to focusing our collective efforts on working together as good neighbors to ensure that River Park is a success. By doing so, we are confident that the future of this community resource will live up to Harvard-Westlake's commitment to expand recreational amenities and public access on the site for the enjoyment of its students and Studio City residents.
