Studio City has an anti-Mansionazation zone that limits the size of new single- family residences.
The SCRA is in full support of reducing the current Floor Area Ratio(FAR) for Studio City down to 45% from 53% and so match the FAR for the rest of the city.
The present limit set by the city council for Studio City is that the floor area of a new residence could not exceed 53% of the lot size.
Subsequently the city set a city wide FAR limit at 45% but because Studio City has its FAR at 53%. Studio City would have to be rezoned to match the rest of the city.
Therefore, it is necessary to remove the Studio City FAR: to do this it will take city action commencing with a Public Hearing.
